Transportation On-Ramp
Program
Transportation On-Ramp is a no-cost career exploration and workforce readiness program designed to help New Hampshire high school students learn about the many rewarding careers that support our state's transportation system. From highway construction and maintenance to engineering, equipment operation, technology, environmental stewardship, project management, and public works, transportation careers play a critical role in keeping New Hampshire connected, safe, and moving forward.
The 2026-2027 Transportation On-Ramp Program will include career exploration activities throughout the school year, followed by an intensive hands-on summer experience. Students will participate in industry presentations, mentoring opportunities, site visits, technical demonstrations, workforce readiness training, and interactive learning experiences designed to help them better understand transportation careers and prepare for future opportunities. The program is open to New Hampshire students entering grades 11 and 12, as well as eligible students working toward a certificate of attendance. Space is limited.
